Product information

For players who’ve wished for an archtop that fits more naturally into everyday playing life - this is it.

More and more jazz guitarists are reaching for instruments that feel intuitive, responsive, and easy on the hands - especially when long rehearsals or late-night sets are on the line. And lately, it's no surprise to see a Telecaster in that role. With players like Julian Lage and Bill Frisell making them sing in new ways, the Tele has become a go-to for modern improvisers.

Still, there's something undeniably special about that warm, woody tone of a proper archtop. The way the notes bloom. The physical connection. But let’s be honest - full-size archtops can feel like a workout. They’re big, they’re heavy, and they demand a lot from the player.

Enter luthier Tim Bram.

Based in Pasadena, MD, Tim has been quietly building some of the most thoughtfully designed archtops we've come across - reimagining the form for players who love the sound but crave something more ergonomic. His Tribute model offers all the depth and nuance of a traditional archtop, but in a lighter, more compact build that feels like second nature from the moment you pick it up.

From the first chord, it’s clear this guitar wants to be played. It's resonant, clean, and incredibly touch-sensitive. The mahogany neck is smooth and broken-in in all the right ways, and the whole thing feels... effortless. It's a rare balance of comfort, tone, and craft. Just phenomenal stuff.
